The story of New Life Center begins in the fall of 1972 when David & Patricia Robinson came to Buffalo, New York to build and grow a church. They arrived with only five people: Rev. & Sis. Robinson, their daughter Angelene, and Bro. & Sis. Carrell (Sis. Robinson’s parents).

After inviting members of the community to come, the first church service was held on December 17, 1972 at Columbia Hook and Ladder Fire Club, North Tonawanda. Soon they moved to “the little brown church” a former Methodist church on Adams Street. After outgrowing this church, the congregation moved to Buffalo and shared the Redeemer Lutheran Church, then moved to share the Lafayette Ave. Presbyterian Church.

Finally, in 1977 the Robinsons purchased the Millstream School at 80 Luksin Drive, Tonawanda. The down payment was paid in full by peanut brittle sales. Soon after moving in Mrs. Robinson started the New Life Day Care.

In 1982 the congregation had outgrown the “gym” in which services had been held and ground was broken to build a new sanctuary & offices. Through much labor and fundraising by our saints the sanctuary was erected.

In 1991 construction of another addition went underway, this time to build the New Life Christian School.

In 2018 New Life Center underwent a massive sanctuary renovation which included new paint, carpet, pew chairs, platform, and projection and lighting upgrades. We also installed a new air filtration system to benefit those with allergies. Today as a result of much hard work, stands an outstanding structure and a beautiful group of people!

The following is a concise view of our doctrine. If you have any questions or would like to take a Bible Study please call us at 716-694-0071.

God’s Word
We believe the Bible to be the inspired truth without error even to the very words, and that it is therefore the inspired word of God.

Our Salvation
God created mankind to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully living life their own way. To rectify this, we need God’s saving grace to end our separation from Him. As the Bible teaches, we believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. At the same time, a sinner must believe the gospel; he is commanded to repent of his sinful life, to be baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ, and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues (Acts 2:38; 4:12; 8:12-17; 10:43-48; 19:1-6).

The Oneness of God
We believe that the one God who revealed Himself in the Old Testament as Jehovah manifest Himself as His Son, Jesus Christ. Thus, Jesus Christ was and is God. In other words, Jesus is the one true God manifested in flesh, for in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (John 1:1-14; I Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:9).

While fully God, Jesus was also fully man, possessing a full and true humanity. He was both God and man. Moreover, the Holy Spirit is God with us and in us. Thus God is manifested as Father in creation and as the Father of the Son, in the Son for our redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in our regeneration.

Living The Life
We believe that God, who is holy, calls each of us into relationship with Him. This relationship with Him manifests itself in every aspect of our lives, including our families. As such, New Life Center stresses and supports the family unit as God’s primary institution. With the knowledge of His plan for salvation, the revelation of who He is, and the blessing of the life He equips us to lead, we believe in covenanting the Spirit — looking to the soon coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
